Decoding Men for you, Ladies!

"Are you a boobs guy or an ass guy?" Yes, this is literally one question I have asked a lot of guys and men around me lately. I told them it was for the heck of a blog I was working on. But I wanted to know how many of them were comfortable answering and to observe their reaction to the bold question. Well, I am a curious kid, and my mind sometimes comes up with bizarre questions. It was fun to see guys getting baffled in a spotlight situation, especially when they don't know to answer such questions in the nicest way possible. I enjoy priceless reactions by asking them the strangest and darndest thing possible. This survey with no agenda was indeed a hoot and a half!

I think the male species is quite interesting. How they think, articulate, express, and show is intriguing and different from how females function. Yes, we are aware of it. But I guess we never gave the male species enough credit for bringing subtleness into our life. It is required too. I guess we underestimate them a lot and do not appreciate them enough, IN THE RIGHT WAY. And after consistently writing about love, I decided to write something other than love (Also because I was bored of love!), my dear reader. Thus, the idea of writing about men came into existence. Now, I'm not an expert in the field, but I am writing according to my observation, understanding, and experience. I could be wrong!! (And do pardon me for that already!)

To start from the start, eons ago, humans started categorizing and segregating things to have a better understanding. That's how MALE and FEMALE boxes came into the picture. Later, there were more boxes like SINGLE, MARRIED, WIDOW, SEPARATED, etc. Such titles give us a rough idea about someone's life. At this stage, society started making a list of things a male or female should and shouldn't do to be best suited for their gender title. Such an interesting idea, isn't it? So this is the reason why both genders are expected to behave in a particular manner. Because we are taught things according to our gender-specific list, anyone behaving outside the list is seen with raised eyebrows.

"It is easy to accept and understand the truth in front of us and ignore the truth, which is beyond the naked eyes." This is my biggest learning this year. Men are complex, and even they aren't easy to understand. There are various reasons for them to have 2 personalities: One that they show to the world & another that they expose to a selected few -the real personality. Naturally, it is easy to accept a man's masculine, strong, bread-winner side and ignore his tender, kind, emotional side. Nonetheless, if I have learned anything from my numerous dates is that they have a hard time coming out with their real personality. To be honest, I can't blame them because somewhere, we as a society are making it hard for good guys to be good and provoking them to be bad.

Many guys are scared to show their good side because people will expect good things from them, and I have to agree that is a tremendous pressure to live up to. It is easier for a boy to be rude, playboy, fuckboy, and mean than considerate, kind, passionate, and emphatic. The latter gets judged and bullied for no good reason and is termed a coward.

Not every married guy is going out of his marriage because he wants more and more and more sex. There might be underlying reasons we might not be well aware of. Guys go out of marriage for sex, companionship, friendship, and appreciation. Yes, fewer husbands choose to stay loyal even after multiple consequences and finding ways to work things out.

In many cases, his parents are more important than the girl because he is the only one to care for them or genuinely doesn't want to hurt them. That doesn't mean he is suddenly changed. He is clear about what he wants to do.

It's hard for guys to articulate their emotions in words and express them. Sometimes they don't even know what they feel until they are forced to realize it. A boy understands her value after a fight after realizing the fear of losing her. A boy gets a ring for her after she sends him direct-indirect signals that it's time.

Guys are slow with emotions. They take time to apprehend a breakup, and when it hits them, it hits them hard. That is why they are usually fine for the first few days, then they dive into Devdas mode, and many choose to divert their mind with an overload of work.

Not every good-looking guy has the audacity to come and approach girls, then imagine the state of average and not-so-good-looking guy! That's why it becomes necessary for girls to give them positive signals by smiling/winking, allowing them to buy a drink, or lingering eye contact. At last, there is also no harm in approaching a guy.

Tears aren't a sign of weakness. Men can cry too. They are a symbol of multiple human emotions, so why limit them to one gender and not allow the other gender to explore the beauty of tears with happiness, sadness, fear, satisfaction, and many more?

There are good guys in the world, and I guess it's not okay to generalize the whole gender because of the rest. Boys are generally scared of girls because we look beautiful, have charming personalities, or are confident. I have met men who are emotional and learn how to express their gratitude and love every day. Some men try hard to make the world better for everyone by standing up against wrongs and doing good deeds.

Let me satisfy your curiosity if you are wondering what most guys picked between ass and assets. "Why do you want to know?", "Are you crazy?", "You are one shameless female", "I ain't answering", "Would you write my name in your blog if I answer", "I am afraid you will mention my name" are some of the various instant responses I have got from boys. Finally, I will stop going around the bush and come to the point. My survey says, 40% of guys would like to see a girl taking an entrance, 40% would like to watch her leave, 10% wouldn't like to be biased and pick both, and the remaining 10% would pick one depending on the girl and mood.

If I haven't asked you already, what are you, a spank master or an asset admirer? Ladies, given a chance, what would you pick? Well, until next time, I hope you find the answer. The festival season has started. I hope sweet, cute, and loving Ganpati Bappa gives everyone the strength to be a better version of themselves.

Have You Hit Your 'Age of Stagnation'?

Netflix includes one of the amazing American adult animated black comedy-drama television series, BoJack Horseman. It did earn the limelight when it was newly broadcasted. It's not everyone's cup of tea so don't just go ahead and watch it because it's heavy. Even though it is an animated series it presents hardcore real-life issues in an organized way.  While watching it I came across a term called 'Age of Stagnation'. It's a wonderful concept.  Kelsey Jannings, a character from the animated series explains it in simple words.  However, the one that I am talking about is not related to the economy but to humans. After that, I came across a beautiful blog on  Avoiding the Age of Stagnation  (I have attached a link if you want to give it a go!) and the writer has interestingly explained the point of view.     To my surprise, there are a couple of people in my life who have reached their age of stagnation because either their partners have accepted them for who

'Love in Comfort zone' isn't that our motto these days?

Don't get offended by the title!  Our generation and the coming generation have it easy and that's why love these days are in comfort zones. We choose a date by swiping right. We choose them by their pictures and the little information they decided to share. We have made it easy to get into a relationship and easier to get out of one thanks to social media, one-night stands, revenge sex and what not! I guess we are the generation who invented some of those things.  Unlike olden times, there is hardly any venture to know the real person behind the face and laughter, there is upfront sex without any intimacy or romance.    "I really wonder when did love change its meaning? ….. or we did? And so our generation has higher divorce rates because lesser people believe in fixing a relationship."  Everyone is aware that there are more fish in the pond and that’s the reason it has become a trend to leave the relationship once things get rocky. I am not sure if our generation is

Oh, please!!! For your sake, normalize breakfast dates!!!

No, I am not a morning person! I haven't read Robin Sharma's book, The 5 AM club, YET! I am not trying to sell an idea, nor I am trying to convince you to get up early. I just happened to like breakfast, it's the best meal of the day. On a normal day, I wouldn't miss breakfast for anything. I do enjoy quiet time during my first meal, but time to time, I do like to incorporate somebody for a chat or two. The idea of a breakfast date has always fascinated me. There is a breath of fresh air, new sun and a new hope of a new day. It's amazing how waking up early in the morning changes the course of your day.  At first, it might sound a lot of hard work, but there is nothing like spending quality time in the morning. My experience says, breakfast meetings bring no predominant effect, as everyone is in a fresh mood. In a normal scenario, no one would put an extra effort to pretend to be someone else - They just are themselves. You can dazzle up for dinner and add-on extra
